Privacy Policy

We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. It tells us which pages are read, where visitors arrive from and which links they follow out.

We also use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies (names starting with _ga) to recognise a returning browser. If you are in the European Union, the wider European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, those cookies stay off unless you accept them; Google then receives only cookieless signals without identifiers. Elsewhere they are on by default and you can turn them off below. Advertising features are off for everyone, and we do not use Google Analytics data for ads.

Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage. Declining also removes any Google Analytics cookies already set.

An account is optional. If you create one we store your name, email address and, for Google sign-in, your profile picture. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash. We keep your wishlist and project ratings so they follow you between devices.

For each signed-in device we record the browser's user agent, IP address and when it was last active, so you can see your active sessions on your profile and sign any of them out. A session record is removed when you sign out or it expires.

To limit abuse of password reset, we keep a short-lived record of reset requests keyed by a one-way hash of the email address and IP address. These records delete themselves after about an hour.

When you ask about advertising, we keep what you send, including your name and email address, so we can reply.

Some of these process data outside your country, including in the United States. We do not sell personal data.

You can change your analytics cookie choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer. You can ask us for a copy of your data, for it to be corrected, or for your account and its data to be deleted.
