At its peak in 2024 it held over $20 billion in TVL, making it the largest DeFi protocol on Ethereum outside of Lido. The EIGEN token became tradeable on October 1, 2024, distributing approximately 86 million tokens across two seasons to restakers, operators, and ecosystem participants.
