LI.FI is the backend infrastructure that makes multi-chain DeFi actually work. When you bridge or swap on MetaMask, Phantom, Binance, Kraken, or Robinhood, there's a good chance LI.FI is routing it. The protocol aggregates every major cross-chain bridge, DEX, and intent system into a single API, letting developers integrate cross-chain functionality in under 5 minutes without managing dozens of separate integrations.
Founded in Berlin in 2021 by Philipp Zentner and Max Klenk, LI.FI started as a bridge and DEX aggregator and has grown into what it calls a "universal liquidity layer." It now powers cross-chain transactions for 850+ partners across 65+ blockchains, has processed over $75B in lifetime volume, and hit $8B in a single month (October 2025), up 595% year-over-year. The consumer-facing front-end is Jumper Exchange (jumper.exchange), which is where most users interact directly.
No token has been officially announced. The Jumper Loyalty Pass XP system has been running since 2023, tracking all user activity across seasons. In December 2025, the team raised a $29M Series A extension led by Multicoin Capital, with plans to expand into AI agent tooling, stablecoins, prediction markets, and perpetual futures routing. The scale of the raise and product expansion strongly signal a token is being prepared — but nothing is confirmed.
