About Forta
Forta is a decentralized network for real-time security monitoring and threat detection across blockchains. Independent "scan nodes" run detection bots that watch transactions and contracts and fire alerts when they spot exploits, governance attacks, scams or anomalies ,helping protocols react before or during an attack. Incubated by OpenZeppelin and run by the Forta Foundation, it introduced the FORT token in June 2022. FORT is staked by node operators and bot developers to participate, and used for governance.

FORT launched June 2022 with a fixed 1B supply. Allocation: 45.5% Community & Rewards (455M ,node-operator incentives and early-participant distribution, linear vesting), 24.5% Backers/investors (245M), 20% Initial Core Contributors (200M), and 10% OpenZeppelin (100M), the incubator. Honest flag: this was insider-heavy , backers + core contributors + OpenZeppelin ≈ 54.5% and rather than a broad public airdrop, the community share funds node rewards and early-participant distribution. FORT trades around $0.016, far below its 2022 highs. Category: DePIN/security infra; Status = Done.

Was the Forta "airdrop" worth it?
- Not a typical airdrop. FORT rewarded node operators and early Forta participants ,you generally had to run infrastructure or contribute, not just claim for free.
- Insider-heavy and low value now. Over half of supply went to backers/contributors/OpenZeppelin, and FORT has fallen to ~$0.016 ,early rewards lost most of their value.
- The network matters more than the token. Forta's real worth is as security infrastructure protocols depend on , list it as a decentralized-security project, not a retail airdrop.
This airdrop has concluded. It is kept for research rather than participation.
