About Solana Mobile
Solana Mobile builds crypto-native smartphones — first the Saga, then the Seeker — that tie token incentives directly to hardware ownership. The pitch is a phone with a secure enclave for keys and a dApp store outside the usual app-store restrictions.
Its SKR token launched on 21 January 2026, distributing 30% of a 1.8 billion supply to more than 150,000 Seeker owners. Eligibility came from a snapshot of on-chain activity tied to the device rather than a claim form, and SKR now underpins governance and staking for the mobile ecosystem.

Watch for later distributions
- Solana Mobile has delivered on token incentives across two device generations rather than promising and stalling.
- 30% of supply to users is a very large community allocation by any standard.
- Hardware gating caps the participant pool in a way no points programme can — bots cannot buy phones at scale.
- SKR has ongoing governance and staking utility beyond the initial distribution.
- The January 2026 SKR airdrop has already happened. The initial distribution is complete.
- Participation now requires buying a Seeker device — a significant upfront cost with no guarantee of further distribution.
- Eligibility was set by a past snapshot. Buying a device today does not retroactively qualify you.
- Inflation begins at 10% in year one, decaying 25% annually to a 2% terminal rate, which dilutes holders early on.
