About Abstract
Abstract is a Layer 2 built on the zkSync stack by Igloo Inc, the team behind Pudgy Penguins, which raised $11 million in a round led by Peter Thiel's Founders Fund. It is aimed at consumer applications rather than DeFi — games, social products and NFT experiences.
Its defining feature is account abstraction: users create wallets with Google or Apple logins, removing the seed-phrase friction that blocks mainstream adoption. Mainnet is live and users accrue XP by interacting with it, levelling up to unlock rewards.
Traction remains early. Daily active addresses sit around 25,000, and Abstract drew coverage shortly after launch for struggling to attract liquidity.

Consider PENGU exposure
- Abstract has never distributed a token, so unlike most entries here the first and largest allocation is still ahead.
- An XP system running since January 2025 is a substantial amount of infrastructure to build for no eventual purpose.
- The Pudgy Penguins team has an established record of rewarding its community.
- Consumer-chain activity is far less farmed than DeFi, so effort goes further per unit of competition.
- Abstract has not announced a token or an airdrop. An XP system is a hint, nothing more.
- Traction is thin — roughly 25,000 daily active addresses, and Abstract was reported early on as struggling to attract liquidity. A smaller ecosystem means both less competition and more risk it never distributes.
- PENGU weighting is speculation. Do not buy an NFT or token on the strength of an unconfirmed rumour.
- As a first distribution there is no prior season to indicate what actually scores.
