About Eclipse
Eclipse is an odd hybrid and deliberately so. It runs the Solana Virtual Machine, so Solana programs work on it more or less unchanged, but it settles to Ethereum and puts its data availability on Celestia. The pitch is Solana style throughput, cited at around 9,000 transactions per second, with Ethereum providing the security guarantees.
The airdrop was 100 million ES, 10% of a one billion supply. Worth reading the numbers carefully here, because the widely quoted figure of 15% covers airdrop and liquidity together. The distribution to users was the 10%.
Eligibility is what makes this one stand out. Alongside the expected bridge activity there were four quite different routes: playing Turbo Tap and holding a Turbo NFT, accumulating grass points, holding Discord tenure from before March 2024 with a Level 5 rank, and a social score on X measured through Kaito. Very few 2025 airdrops weighted posting, Discord history and a tap to earn game alongside on chain activity, and it meant a wallet with no capital at all could still qualify.

How it worked to get the Eclipse airdrop
Bridge early
Wallets that used the Eclipse to Ethereum bridge in its early days were treated as bridge pioneers, the most conventional of the five routes in.
Play Turbo Tap
Eclipse ran a tap to earn game and required players to hold at least one Turbo NFT to qualify. This was the route that needed time rather than capital.
Accumulate grass points
Wallets needed 90 or more grass points, the general activity metric Eclipse used across its ecosystem apps.
Have Discord history, or a Kaito score
Discord members who joined before March 2024 and reached Level 5 had their own allocation. Separately, social presence on X was scored through Kaito analytics, so posting counted.
Claim before 15 August
Eligibility was fixed at the 12 April 2025 snapshot. The claim opened at TGE on 16 July and ran one month, closing 15 August 2025.
Was the Eclipse airdrop worth it?
- Check which percentage you are reading. Eclipse distributed 10% of supply to users. The 15% figure in much of the coverage bundles liquidity in with the airdrop.
- It was genuinely reachable without capital. Turbo Tap, grass points, Discord tenure and a Kaito score all qualified. Someone with no money to deposit had four routes in, which is rare.
- Kaito counted here, unlike elsewhere. Eclipse weighted X activity through Kaito analytics as part of eligibility. Attention farmers who assumed this was standard in 2025 got a different answer from other launches the same month.
- The snapshot was three months before the claim. Eligibility froze on 12 April and the token arrived on 16 July. Nothing done in between made any difference.
- The claim expired. One month, closing 15 August 2025. Awkward for an airdrop reaching Discord members and casual players, who are the least likely to be watching for a deadline.
