About OneFootball Club
OneFootball is an established football media business, and OneFootball Club is its Web3 fan engagement arm. That gives it something most crypto projects lack, an existing audience of people who were there for the football rather than the token. Scoring ran through a leaderboard denominated in BALLS across two seasons, and the airdrop went to the top 25,000 ranked users with allocations reaching 100,000 OFC.
The vesting design is the interesting part and it appears nowhere else in this archive. Everyone received 10% on day one. After that, recipients chose their own term, and the choice determined how much of the allocation they would ever receive. Three months made 30% available. Six months made 65% available. Nine months made 100% available.
So the trade was explicit and published up front: take less, sooner, or take all of it and wait until January 2027. Unlike a burn, nothing was destroyed for choosing speed, but two thirds of an allocation was still forfeited by anyone picking the three month route. Whether that is fair or merely a softer way of achieving the same suppression of launch selling is a judgement call, and readers should make it knowing the numbers.
Airdrop Stats
How it worked to get the OneFootball airdrop
Climb the BALLS leaderboard
BALLS was the scoring unit across Season 1 and Season 2. Only the top 25,000 ranked users qualified, so this was a competitive cut rather than an open threshold.
Claim within two weeks
The portal opened with the TGE on 9 April 2026 and closed on 23 April. Anything not claimed inside that fortnight was not collected.
Take your 10% on day one
A tenth of every allocation released immediately regardless of which vesting term was chosen afterwards.
Choose your term
Three months to receive 30% of the allocation, six months for 65%, or nine months for the full 100%. The choice set the ceiling, not just the speed.
Wait it out
The nine month route ran to January 2027. Anyone who took the three month option reached their ceiling in July 2026 and received nothing further.
Was the OneFootball airdrop worth it?
- Choosing the short route cost 70% of the allocation. Three months capped recipients at 30%. That is a heavy price for liquidity, even though nothing was burnt, and it only made sense if you expected OFC to fall sharply.
- The terms were published up front. Unlike vesting that gets announced after the fact, recipients could compare all three options before choosing. That is the right way to run a mechanic like this.
- It reached genuine football fans. OneFootball had a real media audience before it had a token, so a meaningful share of recipients were sports fans rather than airdrop farmers.
- The leaderboard was a hard cut. Only the top 25,000 qualified. Ranking below that meant nothing at all, regardless of how much activity you had put in.
- Two weeks to claim is tight. Especially for an audience that came through football rather than crypto and would not be watching for a claim deadline.
