About tread.fi
tread.fi is an execution tool rather than a venue. It is an algorithmic trading terminal and order execution management system that sits over a trader's existing centralised and decentralised exchange accounts, letting strategies run across all of them from one place. It was founded by a former Morgan Stanley VP and raised $3.5 million pre seed.
The distribution deserves attention for what did not happen. Tread states there was never a token sale of any kind: no presale, no private round, no SAFT and no warrants. Against a 2026 landscape where most launches reserved a fifth or more of supply for investors who bought in early, TREAD reached its listing with supply that had never been sold, and a meaningful portion allocated free to past users retroactively.
Earning it was another matter. Season 1 ran to 18 May 2026 and paid a fixed pool of 100,000 points each week, but only to wallets clearing $100,000 of adjusted volume over a rolling seven day period, with multipliers to 1.3x above $1,000,000 weekly. There was no small account route, no quest and no social score. It was the least accessible farm of the year, and the terminal's usage fell sharply once the season closed.

How it worked to get the tread.fi airdrop
Connect your exchanges
tread.fi ran over existing CEX and DEX accounts rather than requiring a deposit into a new venue, so the terminal traded on the venues you already used.
Clear $100,000 of weekly volume
At least $100,000 in adjusted volume across a rolling seven day period was required to qualify for that week's points at all. Below the threshold, nothing was earned.
Push past $1,000,000 for the multiplier
Weekly volume above $1,000,000 earned multipliers reaching 1.3x, so the scaling favoured size rather than frequency of trading.
Trade every week
The pool was fixed at 100,000 points weekly and split among that week's qualifiers. A missed week was that week's pool missed entirely.
Claim after the September TGE
The token generated on 16 September 2026 with Kraken trading live the same day, and 23.8% of the fixed 100 million supply in circulation.
Was the tread.fi airdrop worth it?
- Nobody bought in ahead of you. No presale, no private round, no SAFT, no warrants. There was no cohort holding cheap supply waiting to sell into the listing, which is genuinely rare.
- The $100,000 threshold made farming impossible to fake. Generating six figures of real volume weekly across live venues costs far more than any allocation would return, so the distribution went to actual traders.
- A fixed weekly pool split among few people paid well. With a hard qualification bar, each eligible trader took a much larger share than a broad distribution would give.
- It excluded almost everyone. The flip side. There was no lower tier, no quest and no social route, so this was only ever reachable by traders already running size.
- Check the claim deadline directly. Published deadline information for the TGE tranche is inconsistent, with one widely repeated date falling before the TGE itself. Confirm with Tread rather than relying on secondary sources.
