About Galaxy
Project Galaxy, now Galxe , is a Web3 credential data network where projects build "on-chain credentials" (proofs of user activity) and run engagement campaigns/quests that reward users for verified actions. It became one of the most-used platforms for token-gated campaigns and airdrop distribution across chains. Founded by Charles Wayn and Harry Zhang, it launched the GAL token in May 2022 via Binance Launchpool. GAL is used for governance, campaign fees and platform utility; it is now migrating to the Gravity (G) token.

GAL launched May 5, 2022 with a fixed 200M supply. Allocation: 20.77% Growth Backers/investors (41.5M, two rounds), 20% Treasury (40M), 15% Team (30M), 15% Marketing (30M), ~19.23% Public Sale + Binance Launchpool + Ecosystem/early-adopter rewards (38.5M), and 10% Foundation (20M). It wasn't a free retroactive airdrop GAL came via public sale and Launchpool farming and insiders (backers + team ≈ 36%) held a meaningful share. GAL launched at ~$14 and has since fallen hard; it is now migrating to the Gravity (G) token. Category: no clean fit DePIN/Data or Attention Market. Status = Done/migrating.

Was the Project Galaxy (GAL) "airdrop" worth it?
- Not really an airdrop. GAL was launched via a public sale and Binance Launchpool (farm by staking) there was no big free retroactive drop, so the main way in was buying or farming.
- Launch price was brutal. GAL debuted around $14 and fell sharply; early buyers and most farmers were underwater quickly.
- The platform mattered more than the token. Galxe became essential airdrop/quest infrastructure that other projects use so its real value is as a tool, and GAL is now being replaced by the Gravity (G) token. List it as credential/quest infrastructure with a migration warning.
This airdrop has concluded. It is kept for research rather than participation.
