About Polyhedra Network
Polyhedra builds zero knowledge infrastructure, and its best known product is zkBridge, which uses zero knowledge proofs to verify state between chains rather than relying on a committee of signers. That is a meaningfully different security model from most bridges, and it is what the airdrop was built around.
Eligibility spanned six routes. Three came from Polyhedra itself: trading through zkBridge, holding a Pandra King NFT, and accumulating zkBridge loyalty points on Galxe. The other three were exchange campaigns, the Binance Web3 Wallet airdrop, OKX Cryptopedia Season 11 and the BNB Chain Airdrop Marathon, so a good share of the distribution went through exchange programmes rather than protocol usage.
The best remembered part of this story has nothing to do with the airdrop. Polyhedra had launched its token as ZK. A few months later zkSync came to its own token launch wanting the same ticker, and the public argument that followed ended with Polyhedra giving it up and renaming to ZKJ, which it glossed as ZK Join. Anyone holding from the March airdrop watched the ticker on their position change.

How it worked to get the Polyhedra airdrop
Use zkBridge
Trading and bridging through zkBridge was the core qualifying activity, and the one that reflected actual use of the product rather than a campaign.
Hold a Pandra King NFT
Polyhedra's own NFT collection carried an allocation for holders, a separate route that needed no bridging at all.
Farm Galxe loyalty points
zkBridge loyalty points were tracked on Galxe, so the quest platform was the scoreboard for a chunk of the eligibility.
Or come through an exchange campaign
The Binance Web3 Wallet airdrop, which closed 4 March 2024 and handed out 1,000,000 tokens, OKX Cryptopedia Season 11 and the BNB Chain Airdrop Marathon all conferred eligibility.
Claim before 19 April
Eligibility froze at the 12 March 2024 snapshot and the claim ran until 19 April 2024. Anything not collected by then was forfeited.
Was the Polyhedra airdrop worth it?
- Exchange campaigns were a large part of the route in. Half the named eligibility paths were Binance, OKX or BNB Chain programmes. Turning up through a centralised campaign counted as much as using the bridge.
- Do not read the 15% as the airdrop. That figure covers community, airdrop and marketing together. No reliable split between the three was published, so the airdrop's share of supply is genuinely unknown.
- The NFT route rewarded collectors. Pandra King holders qualified without bridging, which suited people who had bought into the project rather than used it.
- The ticker changed under holders. ZK became ZKJ after zkSync wanted the symbol for its own launch. Nothing about the position changed economically, but anyone tracking it by ticker had to catch up.
- A month to claim. Snapshot 12 March, deadline 19 April 2024. Short, and the exchange campaign recipients were the least likely to be watching.
