About Ampleforth
Ampleforth created AMPL, a non-dilutive "elastic supply" token whose balance in every wallet expands or contracts daily (a "rebase") to push its price toward a target aiming to be a decentralized unit of account uncorrelated with other crypto. In April 2021 the project launched FORTH, its governance token, via a retroactive airdrop to everyone who had ever used AMPL, handing protocol control to the community. FORTH holders vote on upgrades and treasury decisions.

FORTH is the governance token for Ampleforth, the protocol behind AMPL (an elastic-supply token that rebases holders' balances daily). It launched April 14, 2021 with a fixed 15,296,595 supply and a retroactive airdrop to ~75,000 wallets that had ever used AMPL. Allocation: 47% DAO Treasury / Ecosystem (7.19M, community-controlled, released over time), 23% Core Contributors (3.52M), 20% Airdrop to AMPL users (3.06M), and 10% Investors/Backers (1.53M) with team + investor allocations on 2-year vesting. That makes it ~67% community-led vs ~33% insiders, a healthy split. Honest flags: FORTH has collapsed from a ~$180 ATH to under $0.30, and AMPL's daily rebase means balances change every day worth explaining to users.

Was the Ampleforth (FORTH) airdrop worth it?
- A genuine free drop to real past users. ~75,000 wallets that had ever held or used AMPL got FORTH for nothing ,a true retroactive reward in the Uniswap mold.
- Timing was everything. FORTH opened around $15–30 and briefly spiked to a ~$180 ATH, so early claimers who sold made strong gains , but it now trades under $0.30, so holders round-tripped it.
- Best treated as a governance drop, not a lottery. Amounts were modest for most wallets; the real value was early liquidity and a rare 67% community-led distribution.
This airdrop has concluded. It is kept for research rather than participation.
