Fogo Airdrop Timeline
About Fogo
Fogo is a Layer 1 for trading built on the Solana Virtual Machine and Firedancer client, co-founded by Robert Sagurton and Doug Colkitt. In December 2025 it cancelled a planned $20 million presale and moved those tokens to an airdrop.
Mainnet and the FOGO airdrop launched together on 15 January 2026. Its tokenomics set the airdrop at 6% of genesis supply, fully unlocked, with 1.5% at launch and the rest held for later campaigns. Recipients came from its Flames points programme, early testers, Discord roles and its NFT holders, with sybils excluded.
On 29 August 2026 Fogo Foundation wallets were compromised and the network was halted before restarting.

Was the Fogo airdrop worth it?
- Cancelling the presale helped users. Tokens meant for buyers went to the community instead.
- Most of it is still to come. Only 1.5% of the 6% was paid at launch.
- Security matters after the drop. The August 2026 Foundation wallet compromise halted the chain.
