Event Timeline
About Perle Labs
Perle is a data layer for AI, and it sits at the specialist end of that market. Where most labelling networks ask contributors to draw boxes around objects, Perle's Season 1 tasks included medical imaging interpretation and legal document analysis, work that requires domain knowledge rather than attention. Contributors built an on chain reputation score alongside their points, so accuracy carried forward rather than resetting each task.
Season 1 ran from January to March 2026 and produced over 1.7 million completed tasks against 330 million points distributed. The token generation event followed on 25 March 2026 on Solana, with allocations set by points earned and reputation held.
The release schedule is the hard part. Contributors received 20% of their allocation at the token generation event, with the remaining 80% vesting linearly across 36 months. Three years is the longest vesting term on any airdrop in this archive. Set against Sapien, which paid data contributors 30% at TGE with the balance over four months, the difference for someone doing comparable work is substantial.
Airdrop Stats
How it worked to get the Perle Labs airdrop
Complete specialist verification tasks
Season 1 work included medical imaging interpretation and legal document analysis. This was expert labour, not general annotation, so the qualifying bar was domain knowledge rather than time.
Accumulate Perle Points
Points tracked completed work across the season, which ran from January to March 2026 and recorded over 1.7 million tasks in total.
Build on chain reputation
A reputation score sat alongside the points and fed into eligibility, so consistent accuracy mattered as well as volume of tasks completed.
Claim 20% at the TGE
One fifth of the allocation was available immediately when the token generated on Solana on 25 March 2026.
Wait three years for the rest
The remaining 80% vests linearly across 36 months. A 6 month Visionary lock was offered as an optional alternative for those wanting to signal longer term alignment.
Was the Perle Labs airdrop worth it?
- 36 months is the longest vesting in this archive. Contributors who did expert work during a three month season are paid out across three years. Whatever the token is worth on any given day, four fifths of the allocation is not available.
- Compare it with Sapien before judging. Sapien paid data contributors 30% at TGE with the balance over four months. Perle paid 20% with the balance over 36. Similar work, very different terms.
- The work itself was genuinely skilled. Medical imaging and legal document review are not tasks a bot or a wallet farm can fake. On distribution quality this is one of the better designs here.
- Reputation counted alongside points. Accuracy carried forward through an on chain score, so sustained quality was rewarded over raw task volume.
- Ignore the burn story. Perle has been described elsewhere as having burn or forfeit terms. It does not. The structure is 20% at TGE and 80% vesting, with an optional lock. Nothing is destroyed for claiming.
